Armed with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Simon Fraser University, Dammy has carved a successful path as a communications specialist, particularly within the sphere of local government.
Dammy’s illustrious career began with the NDP Party, where he assumed the role of Communications Director. His strategic communication plans and astute political acumen were instrumental in shaping the party’s image and strengthening its message.
Following his tenure with the NDP Party, Dammy joined the City of Delta as the Manager of Corporate Communications. Here, he led a team of communication professionals, honed public outreach strategies, and managed the city’s corporate communication needs, further cementing his reputation as a leader in his field.
Currently, Dammy serves as the Director of Digital for Kirk & Co., one of the region’s leading public affairs firms, where he oversees all digital communication strategies and initiatives. His role involves marrying the disciplines of communication, public affairs, and digital technology to effectively engage and inform the public.
