As they further their mission, they are in search of a Vice President of Corporate Affairs to join their leadership team and report directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee the company’s corporate affairs strategy, aligning it with the overall business objectives and sustainability goals.
  • Act as a key spokesperson and representative of the company in all corporate affairs matters, including engagements with the media, public speaking events, and industry conferences.
  • Lead corporate communications, public relations, and reputation management initiatives, ensuring consistent and positive messaging across all platforms.
  • Drive policy advocacy efforts, working closely with government bodies, industry associations, and environmental groups to promote sustainable packaging practices.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to align corporate affairs strategies with broader marketing and sales initiatives.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, including investors, customers, suppliers, and community organizations, to foster partnerships that advance the company’s sustainability agenda.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments related to environmental sustainability and packaging, advising the leadership team on potential impacts and strategies.
  • Lead corporate social responsibility programs and initiatives, ensuring they reflect the company’s commitment to sustainability and social impact.
  • Oversee crisis management planning and response, maintaining the company’s integrity and reputation in challenging situations.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the corporate affairs team, mentoring and developing team members to achieve their full potential.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a senior role within corporate affairs, public relations, or a related field, preferably in the sustainable packaging or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability issues and environmental regulations, particularly in the context of packaging and corporate practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience as a company spokesperson and public speaker.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective corporate affairs and communication strategies.
  • Strong network of contacts within the industry, government, and environmental organizations.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive and innovative approach to corporate affairs.
