Company Bio:

Our client is a prestigious luxury jewelry retailer based in Toronto, renowned for their exquisite craftsmanship and exceptional service. With a strong national presence, they cater to discerning customers across Canada, providing a seamless and luxurious shopping experience. As they continue to expand their digital footprint, they are seeking a Director of E-Commerce to lead their online retail operations. This role will report to the Director of Operations and oversee a dedicated team of four people.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the e-commerce strategy to drive online sales growth and enhance the customer experience.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the e-commerce team, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the e-commerce platform, ensuring smooth functionality and optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute digital marketing campaigns that drive traffic, engagement, and conversion.
  • Analyze e-commerce performance metrics and customer data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Manage the e-commerce budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
  • Coordinate with the logistics and fulfillment teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge in the luxury retail market.
  • Ensure the e-commerce platform is aligned with the brand’s image and values, providing a luxurious and user-friendly online shopping experience.
  • Handle escalated customer service issues related to e-commerce, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Director of E-Commerce or in a similar leadership role within the retail industry.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce best practices, digital marketing, and online sales strategies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience leading a small team.
  • Proficient in e-commerce platforms, analytics tools, and digital marketing software.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, E-Commerce, or a related field.
  • Passion for luxury retail and a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
