This individual will work alongside the General Manager and lead a team of established professionals to continue the restaurant’s tradition of culinary excellence.


  • Lead and manage the kitchen staff, setting high standards for food quality, presentation, and service.
  • Work closely with the General Manager to develop and refine menus, ensuring a consistent, high-quality dining experience that aligns with the restaurant’s brand and customer expectations.
  • Oversee all aspects of the kitchen operation, including inventory management, ordering supplies, maintaining equipment, and managing budgets.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous health and safety standards in the kitchen to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Foster a culture of creativity and innovation, encouraging the culinary team to develop new recipes and concepts.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to enhance skills, share best practices, and ensure cohesive team performance.
  • Monitor customer feedback and restaurant reviews, using insights to make adjustments and improvements to the menu and service.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager on marketing and promotional events to enhance the restaurant’s profile and attract new customers.
  • Manage staff scheduling, hiring, and performance evaluations, ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and effectively.
  • Stay abreast of current culinary trends and industry developments, incorporating new ideas and techniques to keep the restaurant at the forefront of the culinary scene.


  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume, upscale restaurant.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and motivating a team of culinary professionals.
  • Exceptional culinary skills, with a passion for creativity and innovation in menu development.
  • Deep understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with the General Manager, kitchen staff, and front-of-house team.
  • Familiarity with best practices in inventory management, budgeting, and cost control.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
  • Ability to handle the pressure of a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining composure and focus.
  • Culinary degree or related certification preferred.
