Our client is a globally recognized hospitality group with a portfolio of over 100 high-end restaurants across Europe, the U.S., and the Middle East. They are launching a high-profile Indian fine dining concept that blends culinary authenticity with elevated execution. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, they are seeking an Executive Chef to lead a team of 30 professionals, working in collaboration with the Regional Manager and Regional Culinary Director to bring this flagship restaurant to life.

Compensation:

  • Base salary of $100-120,000

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all culinary operations, ensuring the consistent execution of refined, authentic Indian cuisine at the highest standards.
  • Lead and manage a brigade of 30 kitchen professionals, fostering a culture of discipline, creativity, and collaboration.
  • Work closely with the Regional Culinary Director to evolve and refine the menu while staying true to traditional Indian flavours and techniques.
  • Ensure food quality, portion control, presentation, and cleanliness meet company and health authority standards.
  • Monitor kitchen staffing levels, training, and performance to maintain productivity and team morale.
  • Oversee procurement of ingredients, managing inventory, vendor relationships, and food cost control.
  • Enforce and uphold food safety standards and kitchen hygiene in accordance with local regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Manager on budgeting, kitchen financial performance, and operational planning.
  • Stay current on culinary trends, seasonal ingredients, and emerging techniques, with an emphasis on Indian cuisine.
  • Represent the brand at industry events, tastings, and media opportunities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-end restaurant, with direct exposure to Indian cuisine.
  • Deep understanding of traditional and regional Indian culinary techniques, spices, and ingredients.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience overseeing large kitchen teams.
  • High attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
  • Experience working in international or multi-unit hospitality organizations is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with a clear focus on execution and quality.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with operations and corporate leadership.
