Company Bio:

Our client is a small, up-and-coming construction company based in Calgary. Known for their innovative approach and commitment to quality, they are making significant strides in the construction industry. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a Vice President of Sales to lead their sales efforts and drive business growth. This pivotal role will report directly to the President and oversee a team of three direct reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and expand the customer base.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the President and other executives to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to the President.
  • Drive the sales process from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring a seamless and professional customer experience.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the construction market, including industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
  • Manage the sales budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing ROI.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for the sales team to enhance their skills and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Vice President of Sales or in a similar senior sales leadership role, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience overseeing a sales team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a talent for building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of developing and executing successful sales strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
