Our client, a growing security technology company, is seeking a Director of Finance to help small and medium sized businesses protect their physical and digital assets through a modern, easy to use software platform. The company has built a strong reputation in its space for combining practical security solutions with a customer first approach, and continues to expand its footprint as demand from small and medium sized businesses grows. This Director of Finance opportunity is a newly created role reporting directly to the CEO, with direct oversight of the controller and senior accounting team, giving the successful candidate the chance to build the finance function’s foundation as the company enters its next stage of growth.
Compensation
- Base salary of $210,000 to $230,000.
- Performance bonus of up to 25%.

Responsibilities
- Own day to day financial operations, including accounting, treasury, and internal controls.
- Lead and develop the controller and senior accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and accountability across the team.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury functions.
- Build and maintain financial controls, policies, and procedures that scale with the business.
- Partner directly with the CEO on financial planning, budgeting, and operational decision making.
- Oversee annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting across the organization.
- Manage external audit, tax, and compliance requirements in partnership with outside advisors.
- Evaluate and improve financial systems, tools, and processes to support a growing organization.
- Provide accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis to support executive decision making.
- Manage vendor relationships tied to finance, accounting, and banking operations.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a senior finance or accounting leadership role.
- CPA required.
- Proven experience managing and developing a team, including direct oversight of a controller and accounting staff.
- Strong knowledge of financial controls and accounting operations.
- Prior experience in the security industry is not required.
- Prior SaaS experience is a strong asset.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner directly with executive leadership.
- Experience managing external audit, tax, and compliance processes.
- Comfort operating in a scaling business environment with evolving needs.
