Based in Miami, they are dedicated to offering extraordinary, once-in-a-lifetime space travel experiences. As they navigate the complexities and intricacies of space tourism, they are in search of a Director of Compliance. This role, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, will play a crucial part in ensuring that the company adheres to all regulatory standards and practices, paving the way for safe and compliant space journeys.


  • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive compliance policies and procedures for the company, particularly focusing on space tourism regulations and standards.
  • Work closely with the CEO to ensure all aspects of the company’s operations are in full compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Stay abreast of current and emerging regulations and standards in the space tourism industry, both nationally and internationally.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including legal, operations, and engineering, to integrate compliance measures into daily operations and project planning.
  • Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments, taking proactive steps to address potential issues.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies and government agencies, managing submissions, inspections, and ongoing communications.
  • Develop and lead training programs for staff to ensure a thorough understanding of compliance issues and practices.
  • Provide strategic advice to the senior management team on compliance matters, potential risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and present reports on compliance activities, risks, and progress to the CEO and board of directors.
  • Foster a company culture that prioritizes safety, ethical practices, and adherence to legal and regulatory standards.


  • Extensive experience in a compliance leadership role, preferably within the aerospace, aviation, or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and standards applicable to space tourism or related fields.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective compliance programs.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field. Additional qualifications in compliance or risk management are a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving industry, adapting to changing regulatory landscapes.
