Our client is a distinguished fine dining restaurant group in Vancouver, known for setting the standard in culinary excellence and exceptional customer service. With six thriving locations and plans for three additional openings over the next two years, this group embodies luxury and refinement in the dining experience. They are now seeking a Chief Operating Officer to lead their operational efforts, overseeing 500 employees and reporting directly to the CEO. With expansion plans into Calgary and Toronto, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape and grow a renowned brand within the Canadian market.

Compensation:

  • Base salary of $200,000
  • 15% annual bonus
  • 3 weeks of vacation

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of six fine dining locations, with an additional three openings planned within the next two years.
  • Provide hands-on leadership to inspire, train, and mentor Directors and senior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and customer service.
  • Collaborate closely with the CEO to align operational strategies with the company’s vision and growth objectives.
  • Ensure that all restaurant locations maintain the highest standards of service, quality, and guest satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement operational systems and best practices that support growth, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Manage resource allocation, financial planning, and budgeting to meet operational and expansion goals.
  • Drive recruitment, training, and development programs to build and retain top talent within the organization.
  • Oversee expansion initiatives, including the opening of new locations in Calgary and Toronto, ensuring smooth launches and operational readiness.
  • Analyze operational data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive operational excellence.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors, partners, and investors.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a senior leader in a high-end restaurant or hospitality environment, with a focus on luxury dining.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, train, and mentor a large and diverse team.
  • Hands-on approach to operations, with a commitment to excellence in customer service and quality.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of successful expansion and scaling in the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with budgeting, resource allocation, and financial planning.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Vancouver, Calgary, and Toronto dining markets is an asset.
