Company Bio:
Our client is a rapidly growing consumer packaged goods company based in Vancouver, BC, known for their innovative products that have gained traction internationally. Their products are available in 28 countries, with major retail placements in outlets such as Costco, Walmart, Target, CVS, Walgreens, and Amazon. Due to their hypergrowth, they are creating a brand new role for a Chief Operating Officer to drive operational excellence and support their global expansion. This role will report directly to the CEO and will oversee a team of 30 professionals across multiple departments.
Compensation:
- Base salary of $200,000
- 20% annual bonus
- Company benefits package
- 3 weeks of vacation
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership to drive operational efficiency and scalability, aligning with the company’s growth objectives.
- Oversee day-to-day operations across various departments, ensuring seamless coordination and optimal performance.
- Manage and mentor a team of 30 employees, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement systems, processes, and best practices to support sustainable growth and enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with the CEO to shape and execute the company’s business strategy, focusing on achieving key operational milestones.
- Ensure effective resource allocation, budget management, and financial oversight to meet the company’s goals and maximize profitability.
- Drive cross-departmental projects, ensuring clear communication and accountability across teams.
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including retail partners and suppliers, to support the company’s global distribution and sales channels.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices in CPG operations, particularly in manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities, bringing innovative ideas to keep the company competitive and responsive to market demands.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a senior leader, ideally at the Director level, within a reputable CPG company.
- Strong background in managing diverse teams and leading cross-functional departments.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a large team.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to operations and a strong understanding of the CPG industry.
- Experience with large-scale retail partners and familiarity with supply chain management, logistics, and operational processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to achieving operational excellence.
