Responsibilities:
- Define and implement the company’s strategic direction, setting key goals and guiding principles.
- Oversee all company operations, making high-level decisions about policy and strategy.
- Represent the company in the public market and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and shareholders.
- Drive the company’s financial performance and growth, ensuring alignment with short and long-term objectives.
- Monitor the competitive landscape and market conditions to assess the company’s performance and opportunities.
- Ensure adherence to federal, provincial, and industry-specific regulations, including compliance with Canadian securities exchange requirements.
- Build and maintain relationships with partners, stakeholders, and the community to further the company’s mission and goals.
- Foster a positive and innovative work environment, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Act as the primary spokesperson for the company, representing the company to clients, the media, and the public.
- Work with the board of directors to determine values and mission, and plan for short and long-term goals.
Qualifications:
- Extensive executive leadership experience, ideally as a CFO, COO, or CEO, within the food industry.
- Significant public market experience with a Canadian securities exchange is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance.
- Exceptional ability to develop and implement effective business strategies.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of leading high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with partners, stakeholders, and employees.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices.
- A strong understanding of federal, provincial, and industry-specific regulations.
- Proven negotiation skills in a complex business environment.
