Company Bio:

Our client is a dynamic creative brand agency based in Los Angeles that partners with emerging companies to build, scale, and elevate their brands. Offering a full suite of white-label services – from social media strategy to full-scale website design – they help up-and-coming brands stand out in competitive markets. The agency is led by a well-established entrepreneur with multiple ventures across media, retail, and digital sectors. As the team grows, they are seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Operating Officer to oversee internal operations and help drive scalable systems and growth. The role reports directly to the President and oversees a team of 15 professionals.

Compensation:

  • Base salary of $190,000
  • Bonus plan
  • 3 weeks of vacation

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and optimize day-to-day operations across departments including creative, account management, design, and digital strategy.
  • Collaborate with the President to translate vision into actionable business strategies and ensure company goals are met.
  • Manage a team of 15, ensuring cross-functional alignment, strong communication, and operational excellence.
  • Build systems and workflows that support scalable growth across multiple client accounts and service offerings.
  • Oversee resource planning, team development, and hiring to support project timelines and quality of deliverables.
  • Implement tools, processes, and KPIs to ensure transparency, accountability, and operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with finance and project teams to manage budgets, timelines, and profitability.
  • Serve as a key liaison between departments, ensuring creative quality and client expectations are consistently met.
  • Support business development efforts by ensuring operational readiness for onboarding new clients and scaling partnerships.
  • Foster a positive and innovative team culture that aligns with the agency’s mission and values.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a senior operations role, ideally within a creative agency, marketing firm, or startup environment.
  • Strong understanding of creative workflows including design, web development, branding, and digital strategy.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Track record of implementing systems and scaling operations within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets, KPIs, and profitability metrics.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational abilities.
