This role offers the unique opportunity to build a sales team from the ground up and shape the go-to-market strategy for a product set to make significant waves in the beverage space.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for the Canadian market, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall business objectives.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a sales team, setting clear goals and providing the guidance and support needed to achieve them.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the beverage industry, including distributors, retailers, and consumers, to maximize market penetration and sales growth.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted sales and marketing campaigns that effectively communicate the unique benefits of the product.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and challenges within the Canadian beverage landscape.
  • Oversee all sales operations, including pricing strategies, sales forecasting, budget management, and performance analysis.
  • Provide regular reports to the CEO on sales progress, market insights, and strategic recommendations to enhance market presence and profitability.
  • Work closely with the product development and supply chain teams to ensure product availability and timely distribution to meet market demands.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and other promotional opportunities to enhance brand visibility and credibility.
  • Implement sales training and development programs to ensure the sales team possesses the knowledge and skills necessary to promote the product effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Sales Manager or Director of Sales, preferably in the beverage industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful go-to-market strategies and drive sales growth.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience building and managing high-performing sales teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a knack for building and maintaining productive business relationships.
  • In-depth understanding of the Canadian beverage market and consumer trends.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt strategies based on market feedback and conditions.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Knowledge of health and wellness trends, particularly in relation to sports nutrition and recovery beverages, is highly beneficial.
