They are committed to providing a unique and memorable experience for every guest. They are currently seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee the hotel’s engineering and maintenance operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of the hotel’s facilities, including electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures to optimize the lifespan and functionality of all hotel equipment and systems.
  • Manage the engineering budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost control.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure maintenance tasks are carried out with minimal disruption to guest services.
  • Lead the engineering team, promoting a culture of safety, efficiency, and excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
  • Address and resolve any engineering-related issues or emergencies promptly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with the hotel’s management team to align the engineering department’s objectives with the hotel’s goals.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the hotel’s facilities to identify any potential issues.
  • Represent the hotel professionally in all interactions with guests, staff, and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Significant experience in a similar role within the luxury hospitality industry, preferably in a boutique hotel setting.
  • Proven knowledge of hotel operations, with a focus on facility management and preventative maintenance.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations related to hotel engineering.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle engineering-related issues and emergencies effectively.
  • Financial acumen, including experience in budget management and cost control within an engineering context.
