Our client is a leading power generator brokerage firm serving clients across the U.S., Canada, and internationally, with a primary focus on the U.S. market. With a strong track record of delivering reliable generator solutions, they specialize in serving industries such as mining, natural resources, military, and government. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a driven and resourceful Business Development Representative to help grow their client base and support the company’s continued success.

Compensation:

  • Compensation of $80,000
  • Uncapped commission structure
  • 3 weeks of vacation

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within key sectors including mining, natural resources, military, and government.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and partners to broker power generator solutions tailored to each customer’s needs.
  • Conduct outreach to prospective clients via calls, emails, trade shows, and industry networking events.
  • Understand client requirements and recommend appropriate power generator systems based on technical specifications and operational demands.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery, proper pricing, and fulfillment of client expectations.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, generator technologies, and competitive offerings.
  • Prepare proposals, negotiate pricing and terms, and close deals in a consultative, solution-oriented manner.
  • Manage a sales pipeline using CRM tools, providing regular reporting on progress and forecasting.
  • Provide excellent post-sale service, building long-term relationships and repeat business opportunities.
  • Represent the company professionally in all dealings, upholding its reputation for reliability and industry expertise.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in business development or sales, ideally in sectors such as automotive, heavy machinery, mechanical equipment, appliances, metals, or industrial tools.
  • Strong understanding of technical or industrial sales and ability to learn generator specifications and applications.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a client-first mindset.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
  • Experience selling to or working with clients in the mining, military, or government sectors is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple client accounts.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
