Northern First Nations Alliance is a collaborative, Indigenous-led society serving First Nation communities across Northwest British Columbia. Established to address social, economic, and health disparities, the Alliance brings Nations together under a shared vision of thriving communities grounded in cultural values, respect, inclusivity, and sustainability.
From empowering youth and honouring Elders, to advancing housing, employment, education, and training, the Alliance focuses on practical, community-driven solutions. Its work helps remove barriers to opportunity, strengthens local capacity, and supports long-term well-being through initiatives that reflect the priorities of member Nations.
Strong governance anchors this mission. The Alliance is guided by a Board of Directors with representatives appointed by participating Nations, ensuring decisions are accountable to community leadership. Committees convene knowledge-keepers and practitioners to share insights, align services, and accelerate progress across the region.
Health and wellness are central. The Alliance’s Legacy Project responds to substance-use challenges with an Indigenous-designed continuum of care that includes a land-based treatment centre, mobile outreach, and aftercare with supportive housing. By blending traditional knowledge with best-practice care, the Alliance is building a culturally safe path to healing close to home.
As a forward-looking society, Northern First Nations Alliance continues to map community assets, develop regional partnerships, and advocate for equitable access to resources. Its work strengthens systems today while laying the foundation for future generations to live, learn, and prosper in their homelands.
