Company Bio:

Our client is an innovative SaaS company based in New York that leverages advanced AI technology to streamline data entry processes specifically for the dental industry. Their proprietary algorithms use machine learning to interpret and categorize complex dental data, reducing manual input and enhancing accuracy. Currently in their Series B funding round, the company is poised for significant growth and is seeking a Corporate Controller to help drive their financial strategy forward. This role will report directly to the CEO and fractional CFO, with the exciting challenge of building out a finance team.

Compensation:

  • Base salary of $120,000
  • 15% annual bonus
  • 3 weeks of vacation

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all accounting operations, including overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Work closely with the CEO and fractional CFO to develop financial strategies and support the company’s growth objectives.
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports and analysis to leadership, providing insights to support decision-making.
  • Oversee tax compliance and ensure accurate, timely filings in line with regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure accuracy and integrity in all financial practices.
  • Spearhead the preparation for audits, liaising with external auditors and stakeholders as needed.
  • Manage cash flow and forecasting, ensuring adequate liquidity for operational needs.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and improve cost efficiency.
  • Build and expand the finance team as the company grows, recruiting and developing top talent to support the company’s financial operations.

Qualifications:

  • CPA designation is required.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or Controller.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strategic mindset for financial planning and growth.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of funding processes and experience supporting a growing company through expansion phases is a plus.
