Our client is an independent hotel group in New York, renowned for its collection of boutique luxury properties that offer unique, curated experiences for discerning guests. With a commitment to innovative hospitality, this group is looking for a Regional Director of Sales & Marketing who will oversee sales and marketing efforts for their own property as well as three additional boutique hotels. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking professional with a flair for creativity and a strong grasp of digital marketing trends, especially in leveraging social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok to drive engagement and brand visibility. This role reports directly to the Asset Manager.

Compensation:

  • Base salary of $160,000
  • 25% annual bonus
  • 3 weeks of vacation

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the sales and marketing strategy for four boutique luxury properties, ensuring alignment with the brand’s vision and market positioning.
  • Lead and mentor a team that includes 3 Directors of Sales & Marketing (DSMs) and 18 Sales Managers and Coordinators, fostering a culture of high performance and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement innovative social media campaigns on platforms like Instagram and TikTok to increase brand visibility and attract new audiences.
  • Collaborate with the Asset Manager to create and execute strategic sales plans to maximize revenue across all properties.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities and adjust marketing strategies accordingly.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and influencers, to enhance brand presence and guest loyalty.
  • Coordinate with property-level teams to ensure consistent branding, messaging, and guest experience across all hotels.
  • Monitor and report on sales and marketing metrics, using data to refine strategies and drive continuous improvement.
  • Organize and participate in industry events, trade shows, and community engagement activities to build awareness and strengthen the hotel group’s reputation.
  • Provide regular updates and insights to the Asset Manager, keeping them informed of progress, challenges, and opportunities within the market.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a senior sales and marketing role, ideally within the luxury boutique hotel or hospitality sector.
  • Strong knowledge of social media marketing, with hands-on experience in campaigns using Instagram, TikTok, and other digital platforms.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience overseeing a large, multi-property sales and marketing team.
  • Creative, innovative mindset with a passion for storytelling and building brand engagement.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a network of industry contacts.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing market conditions and bring fresh ideas to the table.
